Growing up in the 80’s in Hood River, Ryan was inspired by the bike scene from the very beginning. With BMX as his first love he moved to Portland and managed to avoid getting a driver’s license until 37 year old! Touring the Pacific coast, through Canadian rockies, even as far as New Zealand, two wheels was all he needed. Ryan apprenticed at Citybikes Coop working on the board for 14 years where he developed a keen attention to detail. Assembling bikes at Speedvagen gave him the experience cutting edge tech on elite road bikes. Today he is raising a small homestead with his wife, 3 kids, 15 chickens and 3 goats…Portlander (period). Living somewhat vicariously through his guests at Everybody’s Bikes, he loves to match people to the perfect bike and share his favorite routes (to his favorite restaurants) with others.

Everybody's Bike Rentals & Tours is Eastside Portland's favorite bike rental shop and a perfect choice for visitors who want to experience the country's most bikeable city on two wheels. We have a great fleet of thoughtfully refurbished quality vintage and modern bicycles that both bike nerds and casual riders can appreciate and we offer unique tours of the surrounding neighborhoods.
We opened in 2012 in the basement of an urban goat farm in NE Portland, driven by a love of quality vintage bikes, a desire to show off our city, and an environmental conscience. Though we've outgrown the basement, these qualities are still at the heart of what we do. We operate now out of a storefront only steps from N/NE Portland's most happening areas; Alberta Arts District, Mississippi Ave., and the Williams-Vancouver corridor.
Whether visiting for a day or for several weeks, our bikes will give visitors freedom to explore Portland at their own pace, on their own schedule. We're family-friendly too! We carry bike trailers and tag-a-long bikes for the kiddos.
